And it starts . . . .

Well, I only lost .6, however, it IS a loss, instead of a gain! I know why it happened, and it's because I keep reverting back to my old habit of, well, we'll just pretend I didn't eat the WHOLE thing blah blah blah....I'm making sure that I count EVERYTHING this week and NO cheating, at all!

Week 2

Thank you, Collette! I agree with you, now, about what happens if you do NOT eat all of your body wasn't so forgiving this week. A loss of .6 this time. But, it is still a loss! I keep chanting that in my head!
I received 4 activity points for this week, I walked 2 miles with a friend of mine! It hurt like hell, but I'm glad I did it! I was a little sore for a day or so, but I'm pretty much back to normal. I think I'm going to make it my goal to do that at least once a week, for now. We'll see what happens! :-)

Made a veggie dish today that I found in a cookbook. Not bad, needs some tweaking, I think. It's 3 C. of julienned carrots, 1/2 C. of scallions, 1 T. lemon juice, 3/4 t. Italian Seasoning, 1/2 t. garlic salt, dash of pepper and 1 T. olive oil. Saute the carrots in the oil for 3 min. add the onion and saute for another 4-5 min. Then add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Not bad, I think next time I am going to add the seasonings a little bit earlier so it 'softens' up, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure what the point would be. Give me a second, I'll go put it in.....Ok, I put everything in and it's 1 point for every 1/2 C. serving! WOO HOO!

I'm Back!!

Well, it's been almost three months since I last wrote here. It feels good to be back, hope I'm still welcome! :-)
We ended up putting our beagle down on December 29th. It was the hardest decision we've ever had to make! We knew he was suffering and it just kept getting worse, so we ended his suffering.
Ok, started smoking on Saturday, quitting again tomorrow. I know, I know, that's what they all say, but, I'm going to take it one day at a time and hope for the best! :-)
I joined WW online, and lost 2.3 pounds last week! I am so proud of myself! It was not easy, and I did not follow it for one day and knew the consequences. I am now taking responsibility for each action! I visited our local health food store last week and found Western Bagels!! I bought the onion ones. NOT BAD!! I was pleasantly surprised! I still have 13 points left for the day and am not sure what I'm going to eat. Maybe nothing at all. I did that last week. Couple of days I had points left over, but wasn't hungry!
How is everyone doing? I will try and get on again and read your posts!
